Nana and Papa's House

All of a sudden I can picture Abi as an old lady taking care of her grandkids. She had a great time dressing up with Nana. Abi has moved into the mothering role since she has discoverd how much fun it is to boss her little sister around. I am constantly saying, "that's mommy and daddy's job," to the point where she will boss Elli around and follow it up with, "that's mommy's job."

A girl after my own heart! Thank you Dad and Peg for the awesome chocolate on chocolate on chocolate cake. I hope you find something to do with it. I would have taken it home but I am pretty sure it wouldn't have made it through security.

There is nothing like some tickles from Papa.

Cape Meres (The Beach)

We were camping so close to the beach we just had to take a detour on the way home. Abi has been asking to go to the beach a lot because one Elmo episode they are at the beach. It was a little chilly but a great experience to take Abi and let her play in the sand and the water. I took her shoes off in the warm loose sand and she said, "ohh that feels nice." She is so funny!!!

Church Camp

On the last day I decided to get my camera out and snap a few photos. I wish I had done it sooner because there were some great first events for Abi, like walking in the river with her awesome boat coat that Nana and Papa bought her. Also, Abi and Elli had a great time playing with their friends and with each other. This year the camp had invested in a huge play structure for the kids so according to Abi she lived at the park for 2 days with all of her friends. I really don't think life could get any better than that for her.

Eliana continues to tower over her friends with those long legs. Anders and Elli spent many hours hanging out with thier mommy's together. It was great fun!!!
Judah and Owen were nice enough to lend their wagon to Abi and Elli. Thanks guys!!!

Little Red Riding Hoods

Much to my joy when we went outside to play yesterday morning it was a bit chilly. Since we don't have AC and it has been hot lately it was a nice change. I didn't mean to dress the girls alike but they looked so darn cute I had to snap some photos. Eliana is just about to crawl, she creeps on her tummy so taking pictures is becoming more of a challenge. Abi is, well what can I say "2". It is like riding a rollercoaster of emotions where she is so happy and excited then 2 seconds later she is frustrated and screaming. It's a bit like being a teenage girl in highschool so I can relate;)

Elli and Emmy

Sharing starts early. Thankfully Emmy and Elli do a better job than their big sisters Abi and Hadley. Hadley, Abi really does love you and promises that she will share her toys next time you come over.

Body Parts

Eliana seems to think that her hands are the most beautiful things in the world and Abi can't seem to get enough of her pink toenails.

Sisters sharing

Oh the joys of having two and watching them interact with eachother. I love the sweetness that I get to see when Abi shows something new to Eliana or when she just wants to give her a love. However, there are times when i think Abi gets bored with the 6th month old stuff and goes looking for adventure. This time adventure took her to the beachball sprinkler which Abi excitedly brought back to show Yaya. What could be more fun then rolling a giant ball over your little sisters head? Thankfully Yaya took it well and we continued our lovely evening outside waiting for Daddy to get home from work.
